Product Description Bufalo Hot and spicy, chipotle hot sauce from smoked red jalapenos and spices. (pronounced "chee-POHT-lay"). CHIPOTLE PEPPERS A chipotle pepper is a red Jalapeno chile, ripened, dried, and smoked through a special process. Derived from the Aztec word meaning smoke, jalapenos are placed over huge pits and smoke is blown through tunnels running underground. Chipotle Characteristics - A unique warm heat and smoky flavor , chipotles are packed in a red adobo sauce made from lightly seasoned tomato broth. Embasa chipotles are completely shielded from all the elements during processing to produce an exceptional product. Tan - brown, veined and ridged, they are 5-10 cm (2-4 inches) long and 2.5 cm (1 inch) in diameter. Medium-thick fleshed, with a subtle deep rounded heat, they are excellent in sauces, soups, and as a seasoning for meats and stews.

Chipoodle October 30, 2003 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Chipotle makes everything taste better. I first encountered this sauce at a small restaurant in New Mexico and it instantly made everything spicy and smoky. We made sure to buy a few bottles in a Mexican grocery store, and I've used this on burgers, chicken, etc. It's awesome. And it's less than $2. You can't beat that.
We travel with this... November 11, 2003 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is such a great hot sauce that we take a bottle with us when we travel. It comes in a compact, tough bottle that is just perfect. So much better than Tabasco that it's hard to describe.
Love that Smoky Flavor September 10, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I live in New York where you'd think Mexican hot sauces wouldn't be readily available. And while it's true that Tabasco Chipotle Hot Sauce is easier to find than this brand, like the original Tabasco sauce, the Tabasco chipotle has too much vinegar and not enough smoky pepper flavor for my taste buds. That's why I always have a bottle of Cholula (or Tapa Tio), which are red Mexican hot sauces, and a bottle of Bufalo Chipotle in my fridge. Bufalo's smoky flavor is the best.
Best hot sauce EVER! December 11, 2006 Try it, you'll like it. Insanely great chicken wings.....rich, smokey, chili.....quick chipolte mayo! I'd go on but I've made myself hungry. Just get some.
Yum! November 3, 2008 This Chipotle sauce is really good! I'm not a big fan of hot sauce, but I like this stuff. My spouse loves it and I just had to reorder some more. Good in all kinds of food. Has a nice smoky flavor. Excellent addition to homemade chili (I always add some while cooking it). Order multiple bottles to save on shipping.
