Great First Cornwell Read December 30, 2007 54 out of 62 found this review helpful
This is the first Cornwell book I have read, and my friend was not kidding when she told me I wouldn't be able to put it down. My mom laughed when she caught me doing sit ups and while reading.
GREAT READ BY NUMBER ONE FORENSIC MYSTERY WRITER January 4, 2008 54 out of 62 found this review helpful
Don't miss this thrilling adventure through Rome, New England and South Carolina. Patricia Cornwell delivers a terrific mystery thriller, incorporating current events into the plot, creatively weaving the story line to capture the reader and keep them guessing. I hope you will grab this book off the shelf and sit down this weekend for a terrific adventure. This was the BEST book that PC has ever written and I can't wait for the next book. Keep up the good work, Ms. Cornwell, many people, not just your most ardent admirers, are kept on tenterhooks awaiting the next thriller.
Cornwell on a whole new level! January 1, 2008 58 out of 67 found this review helpful
This novel is definitely a five star in my book! Cornwell really worked to develop the characters, and the plot was full of her signature twists and turns! Her characters have grown and changed, some stronger, others not who we have known them to be. Cornwell also added a new level to the book by weaving current day issues into the plot. Smart, well-researched, thrilling and a tad bit dark Cornwell really hit a home run with this one!
You must read this book! January 9, 2008 49 out of 56 found this review helpful
Any fans of Patricia Cornwall, or anyone who enjoys a great, intelligent, gripping and suspenseful book, must read her latest novel!!! This is one of her best (though I am always a fan). The character development is excellent, and she offers all of the finely-researched detail that we've come to love. You will read it in one sitting, because you really can't put it down!! I loved this book!
