For almost 20 years Jerry and Esther Hicks have been presenting workshops, producing tapes and writing books to help people create the life they desire. And desire is no small word in this agenda. According to the teachings of "Abraham"--a collective name for the spiritual entities that are channeled through Esther--desire is a good and natural force within us. In fact, we are all here to fulfill our desires, according to Abraham. Yet the reason so much of us feel frustrated, is that we have difficulty knowing how to ask and receive whatever we want to be, do or have. Although Jerry and Esther are listed as the authors, Ask and It Is Given is actually a collection of channeled messages from Abraham. Fans of Abraham and the Hicks may not find new information, but will probably be delighted to have an inspiring, updated book that speaks to the familiar conversation of attracting the life we want. Newcomers may also be intrigued by this excellent, in-depth discussion on how to change ones life by matching the vibrational energy of ones desires--taking the power of positive thinking to a whole new level. The Hicks along with Abraham put it all together in this book. Most books (on any given topic, not just abundance) give you ideas and inspiration, but are not easy to figure out how to implement. In other words, many how-to books don't truly show you how-to.
This one does. It gives you IMMEDIATELY USABLE and USEFUL INSTRUCTIONS. The last part of the book lists 22 processes that you can use to attract what you want, explaining EXACTLY when to use them, and how. There's something for any situation you may find yourself in.
I would trade ALL of the other manifestation books in my library for just this one. It's that good, that easy, and that useful!

This is the first time I have ever read a book by Esther and Jerry Hicks, and the Abraham teachings, and I have to applaud them for bringing humanity such a profound book that will definitely uplift your consciousness and your life. This book is extremely well written, easy to understand and apply, and will surely bring you wonderful results. It shows how we are all connected to Divine Source, at every moment of our lives to co-create, and manifest all we truly desire and deserve. It is truly a must read, and a must share with others. Thank you Esther and Jerry for your wonderful contribution to humanity!

Long ago, I read some books by Joseph Murphy about how to manifest. I got some pretty good results, and then again, sometimes not. Murphy explained it pretty much one way. When things didn't work, I thought I hadn't read the books enough.
And then came this book. It lays out the foundations of manifesting from ALL angles. Have you ever struggled to understand something, and then someone says something that "hits you just right"--something that puts it into "your language" so that you understand instantly? This book does that again and again. The tone of the book is spiritual and friendly, and Abraham grows on you. He speaks with complete logic, in a manner which is as direct as it is loving.
Don't overlook the last half of the book--fun exercises which actually get you into the habit of successfully manifesting. As you will read, your ability to manifest what you want has a lot to do with your emotional vibrations--and Abraham gives simple yet effective guidance on that as well.
I sent my mom a copy, and she is loving it and using it to improve her health (she's 85.)
The first time I read "Ask and It Is Given", I had to go slow, digesting one chapter at a time. Now I'm re-reading it without stopping. I learn more with each reading, and merely reading this book makes me feel great!

Abraham gives something extra in this book that I hadn't gleaned from all the Abe tapes and CDs that I've listened to, and that is an easy way to figure out, of the many processes they have "spewed" over the years, when to use which process--how do we know which is most appropriate for our specific situation right now, and why some processes may work better or less well than others, depending on where we are in our life.
Well that is exactly what this book clarifies, and I trust that you, my fellow Abe fans, will enjoy the book as much as I have!
And also, if you're a fan of Esther, her introductory chapter alone would be worth your buying the book. You can feel the beautiful place she is in her life right now, to be writing such good-feeling words!
Now, if you're not familiar with who Abraham is, then the best (most convincing) reviews of this book you will find by searching for (typing in) "Ask And It Is Given" on Google and click the first link to show up.
Then, scroll down that page, and you will see, Wayne Dyer, among others, praise the book to the high heavens, haha!

I would give this book 6 stars if I could. I've read several books on manifesting and reality creation, but this is the clearest and most thorough I've ever read, period. And though I've been an Abe fan for over a year, and have listened to many tapes, the book deepened my understanding considerably. The energy in this book is palpable. Not only read this book, but carry it around with you, put it under your pillow, buy it for your friends -- this book is so clear, so powerful, it's awesome!!!!
