This is an excellent book capitalizing on the theme from "Fireproof" the movie about fireproofing every single area of our lives. Michael Catt focuses not just on marriage, but also on finances, family, crisis, convictions, and more. If you want to be able to stand firm when the fires come, this book is a wonderful resource.

I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone struggling with a problem area in their life. It is worth the read!
FIREPROOF Your LIFE November 3, 2008
This book is absolutely amazing for small group study when the groups are made up of marrieds, singles, widows, widowers, separated or divorced folks. So that you can see the movie as a group but then FIREPROOF your life which is the basis for a good marriage anyway. Everyone is talking about the movie and that is wonderfully exciting but we have to realize not everyone is married. This book is such a God thing to bring everyone together in growing closer to the Lord no matter what your status is. Way to go Michael Catt for looking at the big picture and being inclusive of all.

Fireproof Y Life
When I first saw this book on the shelf at the local Christian bookstore, I honestly expected a sub-par effort at trying to capitalize on the release of the Fireproof movie. This is no reflection on the author, he seems to be a really good pastor. I just wondered whether this had been hastily put together in order to tie in quickly with the movie (releasing Sept. 26).
Having now read over half the book in one sitting, let me assure you that my expectations have been proven wrong. This is a well thought through, well delivered book. The pastor's/writer's conversational style of writing makes for an easy read and easy recollection. His clever one liners throughout the book are catchy!
All in all I think this book does well in expanding the application of the movie to not just marriages but our lives as a whole. The same points that the movie makes about marriages, Catt applies to our spiritual lives.
This is an encouraging and challenging book. I would suspect that it will not get a lot of wide-scale recognition, but if you're contemplating reading the book, go ahead and get it. I would be surprised if you're disappointed.
