Product Description
The word "cascabel" means "rattle" in Spanish. The seeds of this chile (Capsicum Annuum) separate from the pod and rattle around the inside of the dried chile. Cascabel Chiles are dark reddish-brown with a shiny, smooth and thick skin. The skin folds in a bit when dried, but this is not a wrinkled chile. The Cascabel is round and 1-1/2 inches in diameter. This chile is a 4 on the heat scale. Scoville units 8,000 to 12,000.
